For this year's Home Game on Sunday 18th May, we are pleased to announce that the Mandurah Makos/Peel AFL Masters FC will be fundraising and spreading awareness for the HeartKids charity!

HeartKids has made a big impact on the lives of many Australians and in particular the Field family who has been part of our club for the last 5 years. Tim and Kirstin’s daughter Amber was born with Congenital Heart Disease in 2012. Over her short life Amber has had to endure 3 major heart surgeries and many other invasive procedures to keep her alive with the possibility of more to come. Amber is now 18 months old and apart from short bouts of tiredness she is a determined little girl who has a zest for life. Amber continues to be monitored monthly as an outpatient at PMH and later this year she will undergo another Cardiac Catheterisation and CT scan to see how her heart has recovered from her last operation.

Tim and Kirstin are very passionate about HeartKids WA who have supported them throughout this time and who continue to be a great support to other families. HeartKids are the only health charity in Australia dedicated to improve the lives and futures of children affected by CHD by providing support to families, spreading awareness and driving world class research into the unknown causes of CHD. This year the Field family are hoping to raise $10,000 for HeartKids WA by holding two fundraising days alongside us, the Mandurah Makos/Peel AFL Masters FC and also through receiving personal and corporate donations.

The home game on 18th May will kick off at 10am and will be a great day out for families - all are welcome! The day will include raffles, a cake stall, kid’s competitions, HeartKids merchandise and book sales and much more.

If you cannot make it on the day but would still like to support the Field family and the Mandurah Makos in achieving their goal you can donate online at: https://give.everydayhero.com/au/field-family

For all other enquiries you can contact Kirstin & Tim Field on m: 0407 260 350 or email charity@makos.com.au

We look forward to seeing you all on the day for what is sure to be a successful Home Game Carnival and HeartKids fundraiser!!
